She is passionate about empowering young women and giving them a voice in cultures that seek to silence them.

Workshop Description

In this workshop, we will explore the deep relationship between movement, nature, and nervous system regulation. Through guided movement practices, breathwork, and mindful engagement with the natural world, participants will learn ways to reconnect with their bodies and cultivate resilience. Designed specifically for therapists, this session will offer practical tools to integrate nature-based movement into personal and professional practices, supporting both self-care and client work. No prior experience with movement is necessary—just an openness to engage and explore.

Date and Location

Saturday, May 3rd, 10:00AM-12:00PM.  Meeting at Nuna’s studio and nearby forest, 1129 Broadway, South Portland.

Cost and Registration

$30-40 per person, sliding scale.  Registration happens through Elemental Counseling/Corie Washow, but all money collected goes to Nuna Gleason, the facilitator.  Hopefully, this is the first of several opportunities for therapists to come together in community with each other and nature, while learning connection, justice, and allyship from those in BIPOC, LGBTAIQ+, and other communities that experience systemic exclusion from safe outdoor spaces.  If you have facilitator ideas for future events, please email corie@elemental-counseling.com.

“Nature teaches us that our work has to be nuanced and steadfast. And more than anything, that we need each other—at our highest natural glory—in order to get free.”
